Boys Town South Florida opens a giving pantry for families in crisis
Boys Town South Florida officially opens its first “Giving Pantry,” providing essential items to families facing hardship across Palm Beach, Martin, and Broward counties.
The pantry offers food, clothing, hygiene kits, baby supplies, toys, and gift cards to families in immediate need, helping children and parents regain stability during difficult times.
“A small act of kindness speaks volumes and can mean everything for those moments when families are at their lowest,” says Daniela Mesquita, Boys Town South Florida Sr. Development Director – Sites. “Our Giving Pantry allows us to bring comfort, dignity, and hope to the families we serve every day.”
Boys Town South Florida serves more than 3,000 at-risk children and families each year, helping those coping with loss, illness, financial hardship, and other crises. The “Giving Pantry” is designed to meet families where they are, offering immediate relief so they can begin addressing deeper challenges.
Community members can help by donating items year-round, including gift cards, canned goods, laundry supplies, personal hygiene items, baby products, clothing, toys, and household essentials. Donations can be dropped off Monday- Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Boys Town South Florida, 1655 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd., in West Palm Beach.
